Industrialization of Metal Additive Manufacturing: Beyond Prototyping to Serial Production

Industrialization of Metal Additive Manufacturing: Beyond Prototyping to Serial Production

Hendrik Schonefeld, Head of Sales EMEA, SLM Solutions Group AG

Abstract folgt

After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (Germany), Hendrik Schonefeld began his professional career, joining the internationally active company Jungheinrich AG. During his several years in the role of Project Manager - Development Department, he led several projects to successful completion. Throughout this time he did not lose contact with his alma mater. This ongoing relationship led to a job offer from LZN – Laser Zentrum Nord, a spin-off of the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg that functions as a research center for industrial applications in the field of laser technology. Hendrik took advantage of the new opportunity and became Head of the Micro Department with a focus on selective laser melting and laser ablation. In this capacity he was responsible for the technical management, sales & marketing and also for people leadership. Following a brief interval as Sales Manager in the field of customized automatic assembly lines, Hendrik accepted an offer from SLM Solutions in Lübeck (Germany) and assumed area-wide sales responsibility for the SLM® technology. First as Regional Sales Manager he drove sales and market development in Northern Europe. Since beginning of 2017 he is responsible as Head of Sales for the EMEA Region
